La Corporation du Village minier de Bourlamaque invites participants, collaborators of the movie "Je me souviens", as well as the population to the inauguration of the exhibition of photographs revealing moments of the shooting of André Forcier's latest film, shot mainly in La Cité de l'Or.
The presentation of this series of photographs by Daniel Gagné and taken during the shooting of the film will be presented in the Historic house of the Mining village, from June until November 2009. The pictures are accompanied by short texts commenting on some of the actors, characters, scenes or sequences of the movie.
The Exposition Center of Val-d'Or supported the making of the exhibition by assisting the team of La Corporation du Village minier de Bourlamaque with some museology functions such as the selection and the enhancement of the photographs by Daniel Gagné.
The President of La Corporation du Village minier de Bourlamaque, Mr. François Chabot, is proud to announce the exhibition which adds to the diversity of La Cité de l'Or : " Our Corporation uses the 75th anniversary of Bourlamaque to introduce new products such as this exhibition, which highlights the strong participation of local people in the filming of the movie " Je me souviens ".
The inauguration of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday, June 17th 2009 at 17:00 in the Historic House of the Mining village, 123 Avenue Perreault, Val-d'Or. Mr. Daniel Gagné, associate producer of the movie, photographer and writer of the texts in the exhibition, will address the audience at 17:30. The presentation will be held by Mr. Marc-Antoine Jetté, from la Cité de l'Or.
A light buffet will be provided. The exhibition is free and is opened to people of all ages.
